I made the original painting sitting on the green in Madison Square Park on a sunny day in September of 2020. This is one of my favorite spots in New York. Last fall, a couple in Atlanta came upon my website and were drawn to this painting. They had just moved from their Madison Square Park apartment in New York to a house in Atlanta, and wanted something to remind them of the park they loved. It always makes me happy when I learn that one of my paintings reminds someone of a place they love. This was the first time I created a custom large print. The original painting’s dimensions are 14” by 10”. The couple asked me to make a large size print, so I had the scanned image blown up to fit a 42” by 30” sheet of watercolor paper.
