“Tim and the Calm After the Storm”, 18” by 24”, Watercolor by Harper Dangler

Living with a Harper Watercolor – The Delizzas in NY

December 26, 2016

My art needs walls. One of the wonderful things about visual art is its ability to become part of someone else’s story. This painting (above desk) was inspired by an image captured of my college friend Tim after a run in the DC area. I was fascinated by the haunting quality of the scene. I added a pale shade of pink to the foggy sky to add some warmth and cheer. Tim bought it for his mom earlier this year and now it’s part of their family story - surrounded by his mom’s writing desk, family memorabilia, a grandfather clock, and portraits of family elders. Houses are full of stories and now this painting is part of the Delizza stories.

I will be bringing more images of my art on people’s walls in the weeks and months ahead. If you’ve purchased one of my works, I would love to be able to share a picture like this from your wall.
