“Venetian Sunset Boat Ride in Boston”, 18” by 24”, at a home in Sherman Oaks, CA

Living with a Harper Watercolor – Serenity in Sherman Oaks, CA

January 02, 2017

After a long week in early September, I was seeking solace and artistic inspiration. I went to the Charles River Esplanade in Boston. It was a perfect evening, with people enjoying the river in various ways. At one end of the Esplanade lies this quite area surrounded by a circle of land and little islands. Seeing the gondolier with three passengers, I was struck by the blissful quiet romance of it. I intentionally moved to place it between the two strips of land. If anyone is looking for artwork and wants to support a talented artist who is also a genuinely lovely person, check out Harper Dangler's work at www.artofharper.com. Just got this back from the framer and I love the serenity it brings to the room. (Dec. 28, 2016)

I am happy that my work brings a sense of serenity to her home. Thank you, Laura! What do you seek in an art piece? Perhaps you’d like this reminder of the serene beauty found at sunset upon a river.
