Lark is very pleased with her signed print of Big Sun Over Denmark. The framing and matting do a wonderful job of making the warm orange colors pop. Living up in New Hampshire, the winter days are very short. I believe this painting will add some light, warmth, and color to her room.
This painting was inspired by a sunset I watched from Tisvidilej, a small coastal village in Denmark. I wanted to capture the powerful presence of the sun by getting up close to it on the horizon. The warm orange tones around the sun were just visible along the horizon below pale pink and pale blue that evening.
